An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
